Henlade House is a brand new exclusive use venue near Taunton. Formally The Mount Somerset Hotel, it has a long history of providing corporate and private clients with a unique location for special events.
Now having been through sensitive renovations, the venue has had new life breathed into it, creating a location that will be hugely popular for exclusive use Christmas parties, corporate summer parties and away days, gala dinners and other special events.

Our elegant Dining Room seats up to 100 guests for a formal meal, or 80 theatre style. We also have a characterful Library, ideal for smaller more intimate corporate events or dinner parties for up to 40 people.
Henlade House is just 5 minutes from the M5 (J25), 45 minutes from Exeter and an hour from Bristol with free parking in abundance.

Guests will be impressed as soon as they walk into the octagonal entrance hall with large chandelier and view of the cantilever staircase.
We can greet them with celebratory drinks, cocktails and canapés before inviting them through to the perfectly set Dining Room where we will serve fresh local food, prepared by our talented Chefs from scratch.

We will work with you to create an event that is truly memorable, and as well as providing an exclusive use venue, incredible food prepared by our brigade of Chefs, festive tipples, and elegant Christmas decorations, we can also help with entertainment too.
Celebrations of Life
At Henlade House we are here to guide, support, and ensure that any Celebration of Life event is managed with the utmost respect and understanding.
We are able to cater for a Celebration of Life event, Wake, or Memorial for between 50 and 200 guests. Henlade House is always hired on an exclusive use basis providing complete privacy.
